It's a cruel place
Separating Mothers from Sons

It takes people away, hear me when I say
There's a better way to make a living

I did as you asked, stayed on the land
Yet I left anyway, travelled far, saw much, learned little
Now, years later, I return to find you

Your presence remains but you are not the same
Those words, always remembered only now understood
This sea is cruel, that separates you and I
